THE HEAVENS HAVE HEARD MY CRY

Spread the love

Leave me to cry a little while
Let the river welcome my tears
And the earth bear witness
To the moaning of my sorrow

Let the dust of the ground
Hug me one more time
Serve me the bread of sorrow
I am hungry and I will eat

I have suffered a little while
The earth is drunk of my tears
Oh! The Lord is coming
For the Heavens have heard my cry

As uncountable the dust that hugged me
So will be the gold He will give me
For the table I ate the bread
That will He prepare before my enemies
