He suffered so you don’t have to
1 Peter 2:24 – Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
2Corinthians 8:9 – For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
Christ, while on earth and on the cross passed through a lot of situations for our sake. That’s why we call Him our perfect substitute. For our ailment he made a provision in His body for it. Likewise our poverty, even our shame He took it on Himself on that cross so as to ensure that we don’t get to experience such; and ultimately, he took our sin in Himself too, so we are now called the righteousness of God in Christ.
Understand Christ’s work on the cross for most of the things we pass through today, pray on them, believe, and walk in their consciousness…like Paul admonished the Corinthian church, we should give with the consciousness that we are rich; and eventually, we will see great things manifest themselves in our lives.
#pray Lord I see the things you did for me on that cross, and I receive them, and walk in their reality.
