So many emotions are competing to form your identity
Ephesians 1 (Read in any bible version of your choice)
The devil from the very beginning has always been trying to distort our knowledge of our identity. It was a question of identity (Genesis 3) from the first man (:5), to the second man (Jesus). The temptations He faced were solely based on identity ;( Matthew 4:3, “if thou be the son of God”……), (vs. 6”…..if thou be the son of God…..”) and (vs. 9).
Now, what was the difference between the first man (Adam) and the second man (Jesus)? Simple, one knew who he was, while the other one didn’t. The question of identity still continues. Not knowing who you are in Christ makes you vulnerable; to your emotions, to the world and to the devil.
You need to come to a reality of who you are in Christ. Now, it’s not just awareness, but a revelation of who you truly are. A revelation that you are Christ, you are a child of God, that you are holy, etc. (Ephesians 1). Know who you are, because nobody will tell you who you are not. The reason why we can be thrown back and forth by the world is because of an identity crisis.
#Pray; Thank you lord because I am Christ. I am your daughter and I am your son, I have all things in Christ and I can do all things in Him. Thank you lord, because this is my reality. Amen
