Ephesians 2:1-6

Eph 2:1  And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Eph 2:2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Eph 2:3  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Digest

The reason why none of us as believers have the right to condemn anyone who isn’t a believer or who hasn’t received Christ’s life yet is the fact that we were once in the same boat…all of us were once in the position were we were dead and were being ruled by our sinful nature, the author whom is the devil. Every single person on the planet has been there, but we who have received Christ’s life can’t even boast about it because it wasn’t even by our power that it happened, it was Gods mercy and grace that found us.

The truth is the death we once lived in entailed that we could never really have a relationship with God because we were separated from Him (not because we necessarily make mistakes, but because we chose in essence not to even know Him – verse 2b), but now that we have received Christ by having faith in him, we now have life which is characterized by the fact that we are seating with him in heavenly realms, which means we are more than closer to God now and can relate with Him.

People, we now have life hallelujah, we can now relate to God, and we now have the capacity to do what is right not because we are forced to, but because focusing on the grace we have received gives us strength to do so.

#pray Lord thanks for the life I have received, help me to live conscious of the fact that I have your life, and that I can freely relate with you.
