Jesus Makes You Flawless

Key Scripture

Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.

Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep that are even shorn, which came up from the washing; whereof every one bear twins, and none is barren among them.

Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech is comely: thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks.

Thy neck is like the tower of David builded for an armoury, whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, all shields of mighty men.

Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies.

Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense.

Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.

Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.

When we look at ourselves sometimes, what we tend to see is failure and fear. We start to accept that as our reality and we feel very much less than perfect. Looking at our text we can see God doesn’t share that opinion, and in one word, what we look like to him is, FLAWLESS. God took one look at you and called you perfect. The problem is that, we often undermine our perfection in Christ by comparing ourselves to other people, and deny who God says we are. We tend to look to what people call perfect and try to fit in there.

Denying who God has made you, and trying to be someone else is like a tree saying it wants to fly, it simply isn’t what it was made for. God’s beauty is seen in the way you laugh, He is glorified in the way you walk and He absolutely loves your eyes, He loves the entirety of who he has made you to be, but to come to the realization of all of this, you have to see through His eyes, and live through His Spirit. This is why it is impossible for an unbeliever to worship God, because when we don’t involve God in our lives, we only see ourselves. And when there’s no one to look unto, we only see all our flaws, faults and failures. When we truly start to live our lives the way it was designed, is when we submit to the Holy Spirit and let him show us who we truly are ( 2 Corinthians 3:18).

The point of all of this is to remind you, my dear friend, that God hasn’t called you to be someone else, He has called you to be you. And the very truth is, even you don’t know who you are, only your creator does. It is when you look through his eyes you start to live with the Knowledge of who you truly are, flawless.

Dear God, I know you love and you think I’m pretty awesome, help me see my life through your eyes at every point in time, help me be confident of who you have called me to be, giving Glory to you at all time.
