Rest In God’s Love
Our key verse instructs us to receive God’s rest. If we do not enter this rest we are as good as an unbeliever who is lacking faith in God. The bible explains that if we must come to God, we must first believe that he exists. So, our faith begins as a result of believing (John 3:16).
Furthermore, Jesus explains more about this rest in Matthew 11:28-30, it says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Are you weary or burdened? Why don’t you just cast your cares on Jesus for he cares for you? The problem with us humans is that we always want to do something. We want to do right in order to be called righteous; we want to solve our problems ourselves in order to tell people that we did something to get out of it. However, we have grace. Jesus has done it all. All we need to do is lean on his love and walk in it, this way, it radiates through our lives.
