Seek and You Will Surely Find

Key Scripture

Ephesians 4:31-32

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

God gives “good things”. That needs to be the basis of our belief in Gods ability to provide, that fact that Just like earthly Fathers will provide good to their children, God will also and even more provide good to His children and we are His children.

We need to be able to separate what God gives from what He doesn’t give. If it is not good, then it doesn’t come from God. Learn to ask, seek and knock. Don’t be scared of your Father, and don’t expect anything bad from your Father. He is and has always been ready to give you good gifts. He won’t give you a serpent for fish, or stone for bread, but He will give you what is good and would make you feel rest and trust in Him.

Your Father is love, and love would never seek to hurt you in any way. Instead, love reaches out and has empathy. And He can have empathy, because He has felt your pain in Jesus, and He has experienced your lack in Jesus and your loneliness in Jesus, and because of that, He knows what you feel, and is ready to help with His divine power.

Verse eight (8) emphasizes that all who ask receive and who seek find and who knock would have an open door; why? Because God is not hiding anything from you…some of us are not really seeking God or asking Him anything, but simply hoping that He knows and will act; He knows, but if you don’t willingly come to Him, or seek Him, then He really can’t do anything. Learn to seek God on issues that bother you, and ask Him for things you need, don’t be anxious, you honestly shouldn’t be, because Jesus is ready to hear you ask, and when you do expect something good.

Jesus teach me to seek you, to know you more. 💛💛💛💛💛💛
