Action Speaks Louder Than Words

Key Scripture

Matthew 7:24

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”

This is something that Jesus expressed as a true means of identifying His disciples; that is, their ability to do what the word says. There really is no point, or the purpose is defeated when we speak a lot of theory and end up not putting to practice what we know. All the messages we preach, all the words of encouragement we receive, all the points of action we note, they all become of no use if they are not done, in fact, the bible says that those who do the word are wise, meaning that those who don’t are foolish.

Doing God’s word is a matter of faith. If you trust God, you will be ready to carry out what He says, and mind you everything God guides you to do comes from a place or a position of love. He will never let you do anything that will hurt you, harm you or cause you distress.

The funny reality though is that you may never get to fully experience God or have a relationship with Him if you don’t take action on His word…I mean Jesus called it wisdom to do what the word says. So if the word says “seek ye first the kingdom of God”, you’ll be wise to do so, because in the end, “every other thing will be added”.

Jesus did not just call doers of the word wise, but as wise as a man who built his home on a solid rock. What this means is that when you constantly practice Gods word, it builds up your confidence so much that when trials come, you are able to stand strong, especially when the trial is such that it affects both those who practice the word and those who don’t, the difference will be so glaring.

Lord Jesus, help me be a doer of your word, teach me to always practice what I learn from you, amen💛💛💛💛💛💛
