Mark 1:1 -The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God

The gospel is good news and good news brings joy. When the gospel is brought to us, it let’s the joy of the Lord flow in our hearts, this gospel is not supposed to bring fear into our souls and make us wonder how scary hell would be if we do not repent. The joy should be in view of eternal life because we believe and for the fact that he died for us while we were sinners. Roman 15:29 says “And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ”. You see the gospel is a blessing, how should it be something to scare us? If anything, it gives us assurance. There is joy in the fact that he wants us to live in perfect harmony even while on earth and to enjoy the benefits of his salvation. This gospel should not fill us with fear at all. It should strengthen us and give us the joyful hope for his return. By our belief he blesses us with eternal life that we shall not be condemned. Remember John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. Let us spread this joy, tell a friend or a foe. As much as it radiates in us, we should not fail to spread the word about it talking about the peace and joy that this good news blesses us with. And what is the center of it all? Jesus is
