How To Be Wise

Key Scripture

James 1:22-25

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Wisdom is the application of knowledge. A lot of believers get knowledge and very few apply this knowledge to their everyday lives. The knowledge we get from the word of God should influence our relationship with people, things and the decisions we make. Don’t make Christianity an aspect of your life, Christ is your life! A very vital way to grow is to give the knowledge relevance in your daily life. Your lifestyle should be influenced by your belief. See James 1:22-25But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Being a hearer of the word primarily means retaining the consciousness of who you are according to the word (that’s how to be wise). Don’t forget who the word says you are. Think on it and it will affect your actions.

Col 4:5Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

Spend your time doing things that’ll make you effective. Be wise and grow! Christ is your purpose, to know Him and make Him known. Don’t let anything distract you from your purpose. Be wise! Good news: Christ had been made unto you wisdom. 1 Cor 1:30

PRAYER

I thank you because Christ had been made unto me wisdom and I function in the wisdom of God in every area of my life.
