Your Anger and Gods Righteousness
God is asking us to be patient when we want to make decisions or take actions, and not to let anger be our lead or guide. James writes it as an instruction, and we can have such instruction because we have been enabled by God to be able to.
Don’t be quick to speak when you are hurt, take a while to gather your thoughts, and let God lead you, its the wise thing to do. Just like your father in heaven, be slow to anger, don’t jump into action, but calmly investigate situations and walk in Gods wisdom, and finally, learn to listen. The truth of the matter is that not everyone wants to hurt you or get you angry, it could be an error or a mistake, so before you jump to conclusions, always listen.
Many people, believers most especially have issues with anger but I tell you that you can live and not be an angry kill joy, God put the ability in you, so act it out. The righteousness God desires is that though you are hurt, and will be recompensed by God, the person who hurts you also gets to experience Gods love, and not become a channel for anger to spread.
