Digest

The mind is an important tool. It is more important than many people think. Our actions are a product of the state of our minds, and our state of mind is usually as a result of different experiences, the environment we live in or the things we observe. These sometimes distracts us from The Truth.

Each day we have different experiences which we may have no control over at times. We seem to have no control over the information our minds assimilate. However, our minds can change, and should not be stagnant, but constantly renewed with better knowledge. It could be difficult to keep a healthy mind towards life, and that is why we need to understand that we shouldn’t permit our experiences to form your mind set.

It takes a conscious effort on our end by being aware of our environment, and an understanding of the crowd we keep -not just the physical crowd, but crowd of despair, pride, past mistakes, and any negativity. The help of the Holy Spirit is very necessary when it comes to discernment, and achieving that mind growth that even situations, and happenings would not sway our right thinking. First, we have to get the right thinking, and by this I mean the correct mind state then hold on to it. Let God be the groomer and grower of the seeds in our minds. Let His Word be the guide to our thought patterns, and permit Him to be the one to prune the poisonous thoughts. You cannot do it on your own, and that is why he is ever present. Go to him today, and offer him your mind. You will see how your actions will be affected positively.

#pray– Dear God protect my mind that I may focus on you, and my actions will be pleasing to you. Help me think the right thoughts, and remember the right things. Amen
