Here’s Why You Should Preach the Gospel
Have you answered the question? Why do you do what you do? The bible clearly tells us that we have been given the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19-20). So, to every believer, it is our duty to spread the good news (AKA the gospel). Why then do we spread the gospel?
We do not preach the gospel because we want to be known. This can be seen explicitly from the key verse. We do not preach the gospel for fame, money or jealousy. If we do, we make something so beautiful, appear ugly. We spread the gospel because Jesus first ordered we do so. We preach the gospel so that blind eyes and hearts can be enlightened as to the realities we presently live in.
Imagine for a moment! You just have a bank alert that a million has just been credited into your account. I believe you would not be able to hold your emotions or feelings. You would be jumping, screaming or shedding tears of joy. Now, that’s good news! You would just want to share it. That’s the feeling the gospel brings. You would just want to share it out of pure motives. That’s how it should be guys. The gospel alone can save. Hallelujah!!
Lord Jesus I spread the gospel out of love and by your power, I get men saved.
