What does it mean to be, or to become a child of God? Well looking at our key Scripture, we gain some insight, we see that believing “Him” gives you the power to be God’s child, and to boldly identify as one; who is “Him”? well that’s talking about Jesus. Those who believe Jesus Christ for salvation have the right to identify themselves as Children of God. In case you are just knowing this, or hearing this for the first time, you should check out this digest and a couple of others to find out more, and get yourself believing on Jesus. Now back to our digest…we’ve been able to establish that believing in Jesus makes us God’s children. Let’s take a look at one more scripture.

Galatians 3
[26]For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

And I guess this sums it up, faith is how we become God’s children. But now that we are Gods children, it means we are part of His family, and remember every family has its own system of operation, likewise God’s family. So how do we walk as Gods children? Let’s take our cue from the word.

Philippians 2
[15]so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.

Well one characteristic of God’s children is the ability to shine like light even in darkness. Don’t try to deem or hide the light, but instead let it shine bright. And the fuel for this light is love. We live innocent lives as a show of love toward people, just like the head of our family (God) and as an expression of the new nature He has given us. So walk like Gods child, living a clean and innocent life, it’s a beautiful thing to do, God bless you

#pray

Thank you Lord for making me your child, teach me, and help me to live as one, amen
