A GLORIOUS ENDING
Ecclesiastes 7:8 – Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
2018 has finally come to an end. Many have reviewed or are reviewing the things they’ve achieved this year with varying degrees of satisfaction. Maybe they’re things you would have loved to achieve but narrowly missed out on them. The Bible tells us that irrespective of whatever the outcome may be, it’s always greater to see the end of a thing. Many had started projects, lovely projects but couldn’t finish them but you’re here, alive and that’s a very good reason to thank God. Rather than bother yourself with the things you weren’t able to do, why not thank God for the things you achieved. The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Dearly beloved, life is a process; some things take time. Instead of worrying unnecessarily which in fact doesn’t change anything, why not end the year in thanksgiving. Reflect on the things you’ve achieved by God’s grace, set out a plan to achieve the things you couldn’t achieve, commit this plan to God in prayers and study of His word and walk into 2019 majestically, full of grace and favour. I wish you glorious new year in advance, God bless.
Dear Lord, thank you for a beautiful 2018, may your glory continue to shine on me in 2019, Amen.
