The Reward For Preaching the Gospel
1 Corinthians 9:18-19
What then is my pay? It is the opportunity to preach the Good News without charging anyone. That’s why I never demand my rights when I preach the Good News.
Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ.
I want us all to look at that, isn’t this scripture amazing💜.
From verse 18 we see Paul putting a price on preaching the gospel…and guess what, it’s priceless, in fact it’s a reward in itself
It’s sacrifice, I want us not to be discouraged…no one pays us, no one may acknowledge us, but the joy of preaching this message is outstanding, super outstanding…no one ever gets tired of sharing good news…glory to God 😃
Paul called gain from ministry his right there, in verse 18…but he concluded that he rather recieve supernatural gain that comes from God, rather than bread that comes from man, funny thing is, focus on doing Gods work and the resources will come. Through God’s direction, funds will be made available, but it should never be a focus, rather, focus should be on the word being preached💜. Moving on to verse 19 of the same scripture, we see something interesting there, Paul called himself a slave to all men, to bring many to Christ. I know most of us can relate to that…using time you could have used for something else to preach gospel. Having to sacrifice some pleasure so you can do your Bible studies and pray, but glory to Jesus through your work people are being saved. Finally, remember the pay Paul spoke about in verse 18, the reward, and that pay is having the opportunity to preach the gospel, what a glorious opportunity, I am so glad, and we should not take it for granted😊.
Thank you Lord for this glorious opportunity to preach your word, teach me Lord to use them well, and make more available, amen.
