How To Be a Supernatural leader

Key Scripture

Matthew 20:26 – But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant

Digest

Being a leader is a really huge sacrifice, some people walk toward becoming leaders, and some others are simply chosen, or find themselves in the position of leadership as a result of some unforeseen circumstance, however, no matter the reason, the task allotted to the leader still remains the same, and the effectiveness should not dwindle.

Matthew 20:26 – But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant

Here, Jesus gave the mindset every spiritual leader should have, this is the mindset that guides and allows for productive leadership. Being a leader, you are to guide and provide direction for a number of people, that’s a really huge thing, as sometimes it may be the deciding factor between life and death for some people. Therefore being a spiritual leader in a church, fellowship, or Christian group, you should lead supernaturally, because you cannot know the future, and sometimes the past, but God can, and you are supernatural because God lives in you, so why not depend on Him for direction when making decisions, that’s how you lead supernaturally. Let’s see what Jesus said.

John 12:49 – I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it.

Jesus was an amazing leader, and we see here that He didn’t make decisions of His own accord, but as He was led from above. In the same way, being a supernatural leader entails that you lead and decide as you are led by the Spirit. How did Jesus receive from God? well He prayed. You’ll see Him praying just before making important decisions, a very good example is when He chose His disciples, He had just come out of a lengthy prayer and fast.

You see the apostles do something similar.

Acts of the Apostles 13:2 – One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Dedicate Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.”

Paul and Barnabas weren’t just chosen out of sentiments, but as the leaders, the apostles were praying they heard from the Holy Spirit. Supernatural leadership makes leadership very efficient and mistake free. By design this is how God wants us to lead…supernaturally.

Thank you Lord for your guidance in leadership, teach me to always walk steadfast in your word, amen.
