God Sees The Good You Do and is Pleased

Key Scripture

Colossians 3:17, 22-27 – [17]And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

[22] Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.

[23] Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,

[24] since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

[25] Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.

Ephesians 6:7-8 – [7]Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people,

[8] because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.

1 Corinthians 10:31 – So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God

It could be very tough working for a wicked boss, or learning under a terrible professor or teacher. Imagine trying so hard, putting in much effort to get the work done and having these efforts go unrewarded or unacknowledged. We need to understand that our work here on earth, that is the work we do for people, should be seen as work done unto God. We are ambassadors of the Kingdom of God in any sphere we find ourselves. We are not just representing ourselves, but we are representing God, and this has to show in our actions. Don’t let circumstances hinder you from not giving your best in love, after all if you were not acknowledged for giving your best, you still won’t be acknowledged for giving your worst!

Many times, I’ve read about people taking revenge on their bosses. Some go as far as killing them. We are not just serving men, but serving God. David was being haunted by King Saul and one time David had the chance to kill Saul for good, but he said he wasn’t going to kill God’s anointed one. David later became King as we all know. I just want to remind you today,

“give your best, people might not see your efforts, but God sees and is pleased. Whatever you do, do it to the glory of God”.

Dear Lord, I have decided to do everything to your glory because I know my reward is in you, Amen.
