Focusing Beyond this World
Romans 14:17 – For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit
It’s a simple, but heavy message. What is the kingdom of God all about? Many people have seen God’s kingdom as being all about the ephemeral, whenever they go for a Christian gathering, it’s always about what can be done to enrich their flesh, forgetting that the flesh would definitely perish someday. When you become a believer, you become a permanent part of God’s kingdom.
Colossians 1:13 – For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son
And now that we are a part of God’s kingdom, we are supposed to see ourselves that way, and see life from that perspective. God’s kingdom is supernatural, and only supernatural things are the focus there. Our key scripture tells us the focus in God’s kingdom, it’s not about anything ephemeral, but about righteousness, which you can only get in Christ Jesus, through faith in His work, which would lead you to live right. It’s about peace, this is supernatural peace, which only comes with the confidence, and assurance of salvation, and of course the joy in the Holy Ghost, which is supernatural joy expressed whenever we remember and acknowledge all God has done in our Spirit. Glory to God, we are a part of His kingdom, it goes beyond a house, or a car which can be damaged, but it’s about a life that is eternal and exists for us even after we leave the earth.
Philippians 3:20 – But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior
Thank you Lord for making me a part of your kingdom, for your guidance, and your love toward me.
