Watching the news, one prominent matter that always seems to make the headlines is the fact that the world is becoming more and more unsafe. Killings seem to be rather rampant, likewise burglaries, and accidents of a sorts. For a Christian, one question that may be top of your list is: “where is God in all this?”, well the truth is He is where He has always been…in you.

God cares about our well being and protection, and despite the fact that He loves us, we being alive is of great value to Him, because the more believers there are on earth, the more Gods gospel message will spread, and many more people will be saved, which is what’s at the center of God’s heart. God wants us protected, and kept safe from harm.

Psalms 121:7-8
[7]The lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life.
[8]The lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever

You see this, we have an assurance from God, that we will be kept safe from harm, both now and forever. Apostle Paul in our key scripture spoke about how the Lord had rescued him from certain death, and how the Lord will deliver him from evil attack. He had confidence in this fact, and we saw it play out time and time again were Apostle Paul was rescued from harm, and saved from death. We have this same confidence that God can, and God will protect us supernaturally, through His divine power.

Some people may wonder, how about the suffering that Paul endured, well Apostle Paul himself stated that anyone who decides to live a godly life would face persecution, so persecution is a constant for a believer, however, we have a God who will rescue us from persecution.

2 Timothy 2:3 – Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus

2 Timothy 3:11 – You know how much persecution and suffering I have endured. You know all about how I was persecuted in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra—but the Lord rescued me from all of it

Truth is, the Apostles were proud and rejoiced even when they got persecuted, because they always saw the glory ahead and the work they had been called to do as far greater and more valuable than what any persecution could throw at them.

Look yourself in the mirror and remind yourself that you are loved of God and heavily, supernaturally protected, even in this world.
