Gods Supernatural Protection – part 2

Key Scripture

2 Corinthians 1:8-11
[8]We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it.
[9]In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead.
[10]And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.
[11]And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.

The world can be a really unsafe place, well I don’t think there’ll be anyone reading this who isn’t aware of the dangers that exist in society, in some countries there’s war, in others kidnapping is almost a thriving business; some of the kidnap victims don’t even survive, it’s just really crazy what goes on around the world. Being a believer, it brings to question, is there any hope for us?

Well Christians have hope, Apostle Paul was explaining to the Corinthian church in our key scripture that God rescued him from danger, and he was confident that God will rescue him again and again. This goes to show that God can rescue from danger, and it’s in God’s will to do so. This means that in as much as you build fences, you become more vigilant in your community, or you hire security, always remember that you can trust God, with a full assurance from the word, that you’ll be safe.

[11] And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety

We have a digest that explains the power of prayer, and why prayer is so important for a believer, you should check it out. We see Apostle Paul explaining how he had received this supernatural safety, he says it’s through prayer. In prayer, you can influence situations and make them work in your favour supernaturally. He explains that his supernatural protection is simply an answer to prayers regarding it. Here’s one place were he asks them to pray for his protection:

2 Thessalonians 3:2-3
[2]Pray, too, that we will be rescued from wicked and evil people, for not everyone is a believer.
[3]But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one

So you should pray too. You should pray specifically for your protection, and you’ll see God come through for you and keep you safe from harm. Be confident in it, because God is faithful to His word.

Thank you Jesus for your protection, I trust wholly in it, and I know I am safe in your arms.
