Now a Part of God’s Kingdom
Colossians 1:13 – For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son
Acts of the Apostles 26:18 – to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’
As a result of Adams sin, everyone born into the world is born a sinner. (Romans 5:17-18), and this means that the devil had authority over everyone born into the world (Ephesians 2:2-3), everyone belonged to the devils kingdom which is darkness, but now through Christ, we have been saved from that kingdom, and have now been brought into God’s kingdom. This means that the devil no longer has any form of authority over us. He may have had in the past, but that authority is now gone, because we have been set free from it.
Ephesians 1:7 – He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins
The devil may sometimes try to act as though he still has authority, he may want to inflict you with illness, or tempt you to do evil works, but you always need to remember what the word says, declare it and say it to the devil that he has been defeated.
You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world. So why do you keep on following the rules of the world, such as,
“Don’t handle! Don’t taste! Don’t touch!”?
You now belong to Gods kingdom, never to return to that of the devil. In God’s kingdom, you are secure, because your life is hidden in Him, so it’s as though you live in this body, but Christ is living through your Spirit.
Galatians 2:20 – My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me
1 Corinthians 6:17 – But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him
Thank you Lord for making me a part of your kingdom, I acknowledge that I am free from the devil, and I walk free in Christ.
