Hidden in Christ

Key Scripture

Colossians 3:3 KJV [3] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God

Genesis 3:8-10 KJV [8] And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife
hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

[9] And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

[10] And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

Adam and Eve’s classic act of hide and seek is a representation of so many of us. We feel we’re not good, too unholy to stand in the presence of the Lord and what do we do? We hide from God, or even worse, we pretend to hide from God because in truth, we can’t hide from Him; He is Omnipresent. In the case of Adam and Eve, they hid among the trees. For some of us we could be hiding behind our likes on Instagram, behind our careers, behind our stacks of cash, behind our make ups and so many other things. You may successfully create a fake image in front of your friends and loved ones but God
sees the real you and He’s willing to fix your broken bones. Why hide from God, when you can hide in God?

Our key scripture tells us that we’re hidden with Christ in God, Hallelujah! This is a very sophisticated security system. This is more secure than the White House or any Presidential Villa in the world. In this world, we’ll go through some really tough times; even if you’re poor or rich. Even the strongest of us go through things that break down every muscle in us; both physically and emotionally, but God is offering us a safe haven in Him. When the trials and tribulations come to break us down, we (believers who have been redeemed by God, His chosen) will not be afraid because “Thou art with me”. We’re not afraid because we know we’re not alone. The Mighty One is with us; we may be weak, but if God be for us, who can stand against us. The rich spend billions on security, but God is offering this security for free (was paid for by Jesus and given unto us).

All we need do is receive Him, in our hearts have faith in what He did on the cross. When the pressures of life come knocking on our door, they will find us unshaken and unafraid. Glory be to God!

#pray

Dear Lord, You’re my hiding place, I am safer in You than any place in the world, thank you Father, Amen.
