Rejoice in the Lord, Always
Philippians 2:17 – But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy.
With all that’s going on in the world, if your joy is dependent on what you see in the world, then you might as well just forget about ever being joyful or about ever having constant joy. That’s why every believer needs to recognise that we have Gods joy living inside of us.
This joy is not dependent on what we see in the earth, but it’s completely dependent on God. He has filled our heart with joy through the Holy Ghost. He radiates Gods joy from within us…this kind of joy only comes from God. It fills out heart when we know that we have an assurance of salvation, we can’t help but express it when we know that we are united with God as one family without the fear of ever losing Him as a Father. This is why it’s called joy unspeakable, joy that can’t be found nowhere else except in Christ. The beauty of this joy is that it’s regulator is not on earth, but inside our Spirit’s where the cares of this world and the troubles in the earth can’t reach.
Gods joy is always available, it never goes on recess, it’s always in full measure and accessible at all times. We can stir up this joy as well, but since it’s supernatural, we stir it up with the supernatural too. You can stir up this joy when you pray and when you bring to remembrance the goodness we have in Christ. Apostle Paul said in our key scripture that he will be joyful even his life was at stake. It clearly shows that he’s not talking about an earthly kind of joy, but a supernatural kind, the same kind you and I have in the Holy Ghost:
Philippians 4:4 – Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!
Thank you Lord for your joy inside of me. I choose to remain joyful at all times, amen.
