God Can do the Impossible

Key Scripture

Zechariah 8:6 – “This is what the lord of Heaven’s Armies says: All this may seem impossible to you now, a small remnant of God’s people. But is it impossible for me? says the lord of Heaven’s Armies.

We live in a world that celebrates carnality. A lot of people are “logical” and “practical” and most times would always seek for a human way to solve problems. If that way doesn’t exist then to them that problem cannot be solved. Well there’s nothing wrong with being logical, but once such logic begins to contradict or incite faithlessness in God’s truths as found in the word, then such logic can be and should be discarded by every believer.

In this world you’ll face seeming impossible situations, but unlike people who do not know God, we have hope even in those situations, because God can do the impossible with every literal sense of the word impossible. As a believer you shouldn’t become so sensual that you forget that God can do impossible things and working your situations.

The prophesy that came to Zachariah was just awesome. Read the key scripture again, here is a reminder from God to Zachariah that nothing is impossible with Him. In scripture, we see a lot of dogged people who did the impossible and trusted in God’s power. We can’t even begin to name them all. Moses parting the red sea, David defeating bears, lions and a giant, Peter being set free from from prison, Paul’s aprons healing people. With God it’s limitless, so stretch your faith and learn to trust God for impossible situations in your life.

As believers this should be our default mode, our default setting. We should always approach “impossible” situations from the standpoint of faith. Pray about them expecting the miraculous to be done in that situation. Expect it and watch it happen in your life.

Matthew 17:20 – “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

Lord I know you can do the impossible. Help me to always trust in your ability by faith and to be bold to walk in the miraculous.
