Digest
Our victory in Christ is predicated on his death and resurrection. If these events did not happen, then there would have been no difference between us and those in the old covenant. These events look so mundane to the carnal eye. What’s so special about someone dying and coming back to life? It wasn’t the first time that had happened. To us who are born of the Spirit, we know these events were divinely orchestrated to serve the will of God.
This brings me to the topic “the things in-between” i.e. the things that happened between Jesus’ death and resurrection. If we look through the bible at the things that occurred during these events mentioned earlier, we will get a better perspective of how awesome God is. The bible in Ephesians 1:5 tells us of God’s plan to adopt us into His family through Jesus. This alone has solved the issue of generational curses. Many times believers fear reoccurring patterns in their families e.g death at a certain age, barrenness and the like, but the bible has made us to understand that whosoever is in Christ is a new creature, old things have passed away. Through Jesus we’ve been translated from darkness into light and whatsoever curse should have befallen us by virtue of being from a particular family, as born again Christians we’ve been adopted into a new family; a more powerful family, thus the curses have been annulled. Glory to God.
After Jesus resurrected, He told His disciples that all power has been given to Him; all as in everything. Remember Jesus lives in us Apostle Paul tells us “Christ in us the hope of glory”. Now, if the One who has all power dwells in us, who can stand against us? If the devil ever tries to scare you, remind yourself Colossians 2:15:
“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
Christ defeated Him several years ago and has given you the victory. Glory to God!!!
