The Peace of God

Key Scripture

Philippians 4:7 – Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Digest

There is peace that comes from God, and peace that comes from the world. Jesus spoke about both of them, let’s see when He said:

John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid

John 14:27 – “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid

Jesus said that He came to give peace, but not peace that comes from this world, peace that only He can give, supernatural peace. In another version, it puts it that this peace cannot be given by the world, that means no matter how much you try to find God’s peace in this world, you’ll never get it. The peace that comes from the world is based on the natural things you can see, feel, and taste, but the truth remains that those things won’t always be perfect, so if we depend on them for our peace we will never have constant peace.

That’s why Jesus has placed His supernatural peace in our Spirits. Peace is a fruit of the Holy Spirit, and we can stir up this peace from within to let it find expression. Gods kind of peace is such that even in the storm, even in persecution, you will still remain calm. It’s the best way to live your life, knowing that you trust God to take good care of you and your affairs. Apostle Paul speaks of one way you can stir up God’s peace from within you;

Philippians 4:6-7
[6]Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
[7]Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus

Do you see that?…Amazing. God’s peace can be stirred up from within when we pray. Prayer shows that we depend on God, and that’s how we can easily flow in Gods supernatural peace. So rather than worry, pray, the more you worry, the more you see the negative situation and it never helps, but this time, pray, see God’s hand in that situation and experience the peace of God.

#pray

Thank you Jesus for your peace that passes all understanding in this world. I choose to walk in your peace, day after day, amen.
